Question by Lovin29: Do florists typically only do one wedding per weekend?
I do co-own a wedding planning business, and we do offer floral.
I am curious, since I am not a florist myself, have not had to work with outside florist very often- do florists typically only work 1 wedding per week end?

I don’t think so. I’ve heard of a florist booking 4-8 weddings in a weekend, depending on the complexity of the orders. Seems like a lot, doesn’t it?

It depends on the florist and the customers arrangement preference. If the florist can do TWO weddings and have everything done than why not? A family friend that’s a florist did our centerpieces which were easy AND we brought our own containers saving the “rental” fee for containers. Our were also flowers that are typically cheaper and last longer in bloom so she had time to do another persons arrangements. It would also depend on the facility and storage space of the florist. I would imagine it’s a wedding by wedding case..
Good luck
Florists typically do multiple in one weekend. They can make them up ahead of time and keep them in the cooler.
Of course, it depends on the size of the florist and how many people they employ.
It depends on the place. Usually, I think the rule is one large wedding or two small weddings a day . That is at least what my florist told me.
Our florist told us ehse limits herself to 2 weddings per day, or 4 per weekend. She feels that is doable for her small shop. Some larger do more and some do less but most do more.
Good luck!
It depends on the florist! Most major florist would do more than one as they have the staff etc. The florist I am using works from her farm and has a shop on site. She only has about 10 staff members so she only does one wedding per weekend. However, as I said before, its because she doesnt have loads of staff. Most florists I looked at said they range having 2-4 weddings in any day. That made me nervous!
It depends on who you go with. I know the florist that I network with only does one or two per weekend, however it is just her that does it. Corporate companies do much more per weekend, and some mom and pop places base it on the magnitude of the wedding.
Hi. It really depends. Some of the very upscale places might only do one per day, however, I do think the majority do more than one. When my daughter was married, our florist had about 4 weddings that day. Of course, a bride/groom will want to be careful. Questions need to be asked as to how good of a job will be done for THEIR wedding if a florist is doing many that weekend.
