Question by John: Anybody know a site that has pictures of decorated wedding venues?
I’m looking for a site with lots of pictures of decorated wedding venues and examples.

Here’s a website for a place that does wedding venue decorating. It has a slide show of many different venues all decorated for a wedding. It’ll go through the pictures of one place. Then when you’ve seen those and the pics circle back around to the first one you saw, you just click on “click for next venue” and voila, picture slide show of the next decorated wedding venue. Look at all aspects of the pictures (ie: table settings, walls, ceilings, chairs, centrepieces, etc., etc.) and hopefully you can get some ideas.

Any wedding venues in Ohio or near it. I would like a white, light, airy venue for a garden theme in the spring, can be outdoors too. I don’t like hotel wedding receptions though!

Where in Ohio? I know of a place called the Heartland in southeastern Indiana, but if you’re in Cleveland, that might not work out for you. The only thing about the Heartland is that I’ve not been able to find any sort of info on it on the net. (My cousin was married there a few years ago.)

Can someone give me a little list so i can know what to ask wedding venues?

I dont want to be dooped into paying for things I dont need.

They’ll probably present you with different packages to choose from. Our venue had silver, gold, and platinum packages. They explained what came with each package. They also gave us a packet of information.

My best advice is to ask how much it is per head INCLUDING tax and gratuities.

We checked out one venue that told us the price and it sounded like a great deal. We later found out it didn’t include tax and gratuities. So it turned out not to be a good deal. We didn’t end up getting married there.

I’m looking for venue options for an August wedding with 75-100 guests. We want to be able to bring in our own caterer (Thyme & Again, which is on the approved list of some venues). Our big issue is dessert: We want to do an ice-cream sundae bar, to go along with the fun atmosphere of the wedding…
We’ve decided we want to work something out with La Cigale ice creamery (near Meech Lake) if we can.

Anyway, check out Stanley Farms: http://www.stanleysfarm.com/ I’ve been to a few weddings there and it’s so gorgeous! My bf is going to one there this August as well, and I’m jealous. ;o) They’ll let you bring your own caterers.

Also, if you want to do ice cream, talk to Piccolo Grande on Murray Street in the Market. They’re excellent and will actually come to where you are and set everything up for you. I think they also stay and serve it if you want. We used to use them for events at work on the parliament grounds and they were always really good and had good prices. http://www.piccologrande.com/
